On February 6, Shinmeizan welcomed the visit of Ven. Emiko Watanabe, Head of the Buddhist lay organization Rissho Kosei Kai of Kumamoto and in charge of the whole South Kyushu and Okinawa Region, accompanied by two members of the community. In the very friendly meeting held, we also planned a visit to the Rissho Kosei Kai Headquarters of Kumamoto by the Kumamoto Group for Interreligious Dialog, to be carried out in the next future.

 On February 25, Shinmeizan led the Kumamoto Group for Interreligious dialog in a visit to the Kyuganji Buddhist Temple of Yatsushiro (Soto Zen Buddhism). Welcome by the Ven. Gosan Washimine, about 25 people participated in the friendly meeting. Among them, besides members of several Catholic Parishes of the area, also a group of members of the local headquarters of the Buddhist lay organization Rissho Kosei Kai, and faithful of the Pure Land Buddhist Temple Saifukuji of Kumamoto.
