September 2024
After a long and unusually hot summer, a refreshing autumn weather finally seemed to have arrived toward the end of the month. Nonetheless, Shinmeizan experienced a busy and meaningful September.
-
At the beginning of the month, we had a visit from the group of friends belonging to the group called “Paradise,” who spent three days in Shinmeizan. During their stay, intense moments of prayer, reflection and sharing took place, creating an atmosphere of deep spirituality and fraternal life.

-
On Sept. 17, a group of about ten volunteers from churches in Kumamoto district came to Shinmeizan for a day of maintenance work, made necessary after the summer period. Thanks to their efforts, Shinmeizan has become even more welcoming, with beautified spaces that reflect the volunteers' dedication and sympathy for our environment.

-
Finally, on September 30, Fr. Claudio participated in a meeting in Kumamoto entitled “The Role of Religion and Religious Freedom in Modern Society.” This event offered the participants an opportunity to share reflections on crucial issues related to religion and its interaction with contemporary society, emphasizing the importance of religious freedom.
