The heat of these summer days notwithstanding, several guests have visited Shinmeizan also during the last month of July. Among them:
Mr. Enrico Campo, from Italy, a young researcher and teacher of Science of Religions, author of a recent book on a catechetical text used by the “Hidden Christians” of Japan during the persecutions, who stayed with us from July 5 to 22;

• Nunzia La Stella, from Italy, a former student of Sr. Maria De Giorgi at the Pont. Gregorian University of Rome, also a teacher of Science of Religions and an expert of the history of Christianity in Japan in its early stages, who came with her husband Umberto and her daughter Mimma, on July 5-6;

• His Exc. Mgr. Shirahama Mitsuru, Bishop of Hiroshima, who visited Shinmeizan on July 15-16;

• Rev. Andrea Farcinelli, from Italy, a researcher and teacher of Science of Religions and deeply involved in interreligious dialogue in his native diocese, visited us on July 27, accompanied by Sr. Luigina and Sr. Sumi, of the Meiko High School Institute of Omuta (Fukuoka).

• A special word of thanks to the group of 8 volunteers, led by the Pastor of Tettori church of Kumamoto, Rev. Noaki Sakurai, who came to help in the work of maintenance of the grounds and garden of Shinmeizan on July 25!
