Also this year, at Shinmeizan and the area around us, the cherry trees came into full bloom right the days of Easter! 
This month also, Shinmeizan welcomed several guests. Among them:

• on April 8-9, Rev. Fr. Ferruccio Brambillasca, back to Japan after many years spent in Rome (and around the world) as Superior General of the Pontifical Missionary Institute of Milan; 

• on April 19, Mr. Tatsuo and Ms. Noriko Shimosaka, from Nagasaki;

•  on April 20, Mr. Otani Hiroki from Tokyo;

•  on April 21, Rev. Fr. Liam O’Doherty, O.S.A., from Fukuoka;
•  on April 29, the Takano family from Tamana, for the anniversary commemoration of their deceased father;

•  on April 29- May 1, Bro. Ko Takahara, OFMConv., from Nagasaki.

Among the various activities in the field of interreligious dialog, this month:

•  Shinmeizan forwarded the message sent to Buddhists in Japan by the Pontifical Dicastery for Interreligious Dialog on the occasion of Hanamatsuri, the feast commemorating the birth of the Buddha, to 25 temples of close partners in dialog, accompanying it with a personal message of congratulations.

• On April 24, Sr. Maria De Giorgi took part online in the General Assembly of the Study Groups of the National Office for Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialog (UNEDI) of the Episcopal Conference of Italy (CEI).
