21-22 January – Father Rocco attended a seminar on God in the different religions at the International Centre of Kumamoto, sponsored by the Kumamoto Islamic Forum. The following day he visited the Kumamoto mosque.

30 January – Father Franco and Father Rocco attended the meeting of the Buddhist-Christian Dialogue Group of Fukuoka.

5 February – Father Franco attended the Shinto rite held at the temple of Heboura, our village, for the beginning of the work in the fields in the new year.

7 February – Sister Maria left for Rome. She will be teaching course on interreligious dialogue at the Pontifical Gregorian University until June.

11 February – Father Franco and Father Rocco accompanied the Kumamoto Interreligious Dialogue Group on a visit to the Kumamoto centre of the Risshokosekai Buddhist association.

24-26 February – Mr Nabeshima Ryusho, monk of the Tendai Buddhist Kyomizudera (Miyama, Fukuoka) visited Shinmeizan.
