Among the various activities of interreligious dialog, carried out this month by Shinmeizan, we would like to mention:

• the talk given by Fr. Franco, on October 6, at the Cathedral of Fukuoka, on the role exercised by the Catholic Church in interreligious dialog since Vatican 2, at the meeting organized by the Office for Ecumenism of the Diocese of Fukuoka;
• the conference held by Sr. Maria De Giorgi, on October 26, at the Buddhist Ryukoku University in Kyoto, on the teaching and activity of the Catholic Church in the field of interreligious dialog, at a study session attended by Buddhist monks of various Schools and professors teaching at various Buddhist Universities;
• but especially the study session held at Shinmeizan, on October 21, for a group of monks of the Nichiren School, gathered from various parts of Japan, on the teaching and activities of the Catholic Church regarding interreligious dialog．　

• Among the guests we welcomed this month at Shinmeizan, we like to remember especially the visit by His Exc. Archbishop Alberto Bottari de Castello, former Apostolic Nuncio to Japan, who has always remained in contact with Shinmeizan, granting us the honor and pleasure of his friendship.
