Also this year, through the participation of Sr. Maria De Giorgi, Shinmeizan was present at the annual international interreligious meeting organized by the Community of Saint Egidio, to keep alive and strong the so-called “spirit of Assisi”, the torch lit in the city of Saint Francis in 1986. This 32nd edition of the event was held in Madrid from Sept. 15 to 17, with the theme and motto: ”Peace with no borders”.

From Madrid, Maria moved to Rome, where she was invited to give some lectures at the first course on “Women and the Church”, held at the Pontifical Athenaeum “Regina Apostolorum” from September 23 to 28.

From Rome, she will travel to Tavernerio (Como) to speak on “The mission of the Church in Asia today” at the annual course for ongoing formation of the Xaverian Missionaries.
