Even though hot weather continued all during this month of September, Shinmeizan has welcomed several visitors. Among them we wish to remember in a special way:

The hot days of last month were accompanied by sudden violent storms and heavy rains that caused a lot of damage in the whole area. Also the road that leads up to Shinmeizan was interrupted by several landslides. Fortunately, thanks to the prompt and efficient intervention of the town’s administration (Nagomi), the road has been quickly reopened and we could welcome visitors as planned.

The heat of these summer days notwithstanding, several guests have visited Shinmeizan also during the last month of July. Among them:
Mr. Enrico Campo, from Italy, a young researcher and teacher of Science of Religions, author of a recent book on a catechetical text used by the “Hidden Christians” of Japan during the persecutions, who stayed with us from July 5 to 22;
