October 2021

Among the activities of this month, besides the monthly retreat held on Oct. 14, we wish to mention the following:

On Oct. 3rd, a meeting of the Kumamoto Group of interreligious dialogue, called by Shinmeizan, was held at the Catholic Church of Tetori (Kumamoto), to `restart` its activities, after almost two years of interruption, due to the covid-19.

September 2021

Shinmeizan continues its activity as a `House of Prayer` and as a “Center for Interreligious Dialog”.

Among the guests we welcomed this month, besides the ten participants in the monthly retreat of Sept. 9th, we wish to mention in a special way the visit of Mr. Yoichi Fukuda, of the new religious group Byakkoshinkokai, who came on Sept. 3, to spend a day with us to concentrate on his study of Saint Maximilian Kolbe;

August 2021

Also this year, like last year, because of covid-19, we had to cancel the courses on the value of human life considered from the point of view of religions, held every year for the Students of the University of Industrial Medicine of Kitakyushu.  But one of the students insisted to be allowed to come, even if alone!  So, on August 2-4, we held for him… the `full three days course”!
