Also this month, we choose a couple of events, among the various activities conducted by Shinmeizan in the field of interreligious dialog, to dwell on them a bit more at length.

Maria De Giorgi back in Rome

On February 9, Maria De Giorgi left once more for Rome to teach at the Pontifical Gregorian University in the faculty of Missiology and at the Center for Interreligious Studies.

During the last thirty years, out of Shinmeizan’s activity in the field of interreligious dialogue, two groups have come into being. One group gathers persons of the various religious Traditions Shinmeizan has come in contact with, who have become friends and partners in dialogue.  Since 25 years these friends and partners in dialogue have been meeting once every two years at Shinmeizan for a half a day of prayer for peace, taking inspiration from the meeting of Assisi called in 1986 by Pope John Paul II.
