SOME NEWS FROM SHINMEIZAN

---  For the ‘new year’, as usual, Shinmeizan has forwarded to the Shinto partners in dialogue the message from the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, adding a personal letter of congratulations.

Shinmeizan takes part regularly in the main events of the village (Heboura) it belongs to, like the annual meeting of the family-heads, or the gatherings at the local Shinto Temple in February and in November, respectively at the beginning and at the end of the work in the fields.

Among the various activities of interreligious dialog, carried out this month by Shinmeizan, we would like to mention:

• the talk given by Fr. Franco, on October 6, at the Cathedral of Fukuoka, on the role exercised by the Catholic Church in interreligious dialog since Vatican 2, at the meeting organized by the Office for Ecumenism of the Diocese of Fukuoka;
